Brief Overview

Located in Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India; nearest town is Pantwari which is 55 km from Mussoorie

Nag Tibba is the highest peak of the Nag Tibba range in the Lesser Himalayas. It is known for its classic summer and winter treks which are rejuvenating escapes from the mundane city life during the weekend

Captivating steppe farming & hill slopes with bauhinia plants makes a picturesque gorge. As the trek starts from the base, you have a beautiful glance at white anemones

As you go higher, you will discover dense forests of oak, scarlet wonder of rhododendron, pansy blooming orchids and an abundance of mint and kandali shrub

Birds like warblers, red and blue bulbul, hill myna and willow tit can be sighted during the trek. As you climb higher towards the summit, niltava sundara, flameback woodpecker and even the magnificent eagle can also be witnessed in the forest

Best time to visit is between mid February – mid June & mid September – November

Itinerary

Day 1 - Pick-up from Dehradun Railway Station, drive to Pantwari by taxi and then trek to Nag Tibba base camp – (4 hrs drive + 4 km trek)

Day 2 - Trek to Nag Tibba Summit & return back to base camp for lunch and then drive back to Dehradun by evening
