Brief Overview

  • Located in Manali region of Himachal Pradesh, India; nearest town is Prini/ Manali before Sethan Village

  • Hampta Pass is certainly a compact trek, yet it is a bargain hunter’s delight. You will come across lush green forests, headwater streams, deserted mountains and valleys, snow flurries and an incredible view of Chandratal Lake

  • Hampta pass lies in the foothills of the majestic Himalayas offering a magnificent view of peaks like Deo Tibba (6001 m) and ice capped Dhauladhar Range (6221 m)

  • Begin your trail amid the cedar, pine and maple forests and cross streams before entering the panoramic view of a thick shag carpet of greenery in Kullu Valley and dry cold deserted Lahaul Valley

  • A steep ascent of 3 km on snowy terrain will bring you to Hampta Pass. Then, you will wander amongst unbelievable beauty on the top and cross the chilly glacial flows on your way back by the side of the river to reach the last base camp

  • Best time to visit is between June – September

  • Last ATM point is available in Manali
