Brief Overview


  • Located in Dehradun district Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India; nearest town is Chakrata, 90 km from Dehradun

  • On the hike to Tiger Falls, one can hear the sound of the rushing water echoing through the dense forest as you reach closer. The Himalayan glacier runoff gracefully plummets down a 50 m cliff into a small pond, perfect for swimming and enjoying the cool mist

  • The Moila Top meadow features lush green grasses, a temple, a small cave, and a mesmerizing view of Himalayan ranges. The cave, called Budher Gufa, can also be explored with a torch

  • A rich diversity of birds and animal species dwell inside the dense Kansar forest and many bird watchers visit to observe rare species such as the White Collared Blackbird and the Himalayan Woodpecker

  • At Vyas Shikhar, one is rewarded with a spectacular view of many Himalayan ranges such as Shrikhanth Mahadev, Swargarohini, Ranglana, and Bandarpoonch

  • Best time to visit is between March - June & September - December

  • Last ATM points are available in Vikasnagar and Dehradun




Itinerary


  • Day 1- Pick-up from Dehradun, then drive to Chakrata by taxi, after having lunch small trek to Tiger Falls and arrive at a home stay

  • Day 2 - Drive to Lokhandi from Chakrata, mesmerizing trek to Moila Top and Budher Gufa and then overnight camp at Moila Top

  • Day 3 - Trek back to Lokhandi from Moila Top, then drive to Deoban campsite and trek to Vyas Shikhar, overnight stay at Deoban campsite

  • Day 4 - After breakfast drive to Dehradun from Deoban via Vikasnagar

Overnight bus to ISBT, Dehradun from ISBT, Kashmere Gate, Delhi ( see bus chart)
Suggestion: To take Uttarakhand Govt. buses from Delhi ISBT as they are punctual and quicker to reach than Pvt. Buses. They will drop you at Dehradun ISBT which is 6 km from Railway Station

Instructions


  • Smoking cigarettes makes you lethargic & can potentially shortened your breath during the trek, we recommend not to smoke for your own good

  • Drinking alcohol is not allowed since it results in dehydration and can cause AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), it eventually reduces the oxygen level from the body

  • Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly prohibited

  • Instructions from guide should be paid attention to and followed

Cancellation & Refund Policy


  • Cancellations made 10 days before the commencement of the trip, 100% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 5-9 days before the commencement of the trip, 50% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 0-4 days before the commencement of the trip, a bit too late for any return
