  • As you ascend towards the Brahmatal lake, you will be awestruck by the views of other massive peaks like Mrigthuni, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Kamet and Hathi & Ghoda

  • At the summit, you will be floored by the pristine beauty of clear blue skies and surrounded by the closed view of the Garhwal mountains. The serenity and unique beauty will make you want to stay!

  • Best time to visit Brahmatal is during winters (Nov to Mar)

Itinerary


  • Day 1 - Pick-up from Kathgodam Railway Station (around 7:00 AM), drive to Lohajung and night stay at guest house – 210 km (10 hrs)

  • Day 2 - Trek to Bekaltal from Lohajung – 6 km trek (5 hrs)

  • Day 3 - Trek to Brahmatal from Bekaltal – 7 km (5/6 hrs)

  • Day 4 - Trek to Brahmatal Top and back at Brahmatal – 9 km (7/8 hrs)

  • Day 5 - Trek back to Lohajung from Brahmatal Base – 9 km (7/8 hrs)

  • Day 6 - After breakfast drive back to Kathgodam from Lohajung and reach around 7:00 PM – 210 km (10 hrs)

By Road
Overnight bus to Haldwani (10 km from Kathgodam) from ISBT, Anand Vihar, Delhi (see bus chart)
Suggestion: To take Uttarakhand Govt. buses from Delhi ISBT as they are punctual and quicker to reach than Pvt. Buses. They will drop you at Haldwani which is 10 km away from Kathgodam

By Air
Direct flights are available from-

  • DEL - PGH

Kathgodam is around 40 km from Pantnagar Airport and Daily schedule of flight to Pantnagar from Delhi except Thursday. Dehradun Airport is around 35 km from Dehradun city

Instructions


  • Smoking cigarettes makes you lethargic & can potentially shortened your breath during the trek, we recommend not to smoke for your own good

  • Drinking alcohol is not allowed since it results in dehydration and can cause AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), it eventually reduces the oxygen level from the body

  • Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly prohibited

  • Instructions from guide should be paid attention to and followed

Cancellation & Refund Policy


  • Cancellations made 10 days before the commencement of the trip, 100% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 5-9 days before the commencement of the trip, 50% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 0-4 days before the commencement of the trip, a bit too late for any return
