Brief Overview

  • Located in Kullu district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India; nearest town is Manali

  • The trek up is uniquely beautiful featuring streams gushing past the meandering trail, colorful villages, and unending high altitude alpine meadows seasoned with birch and cedar forests

  • Along the way you will be surrounded by the snow laden peaks of the Seven Sister Peaks, Deo Tibba, and Hanuman Tibba of the Himalayas, as well as unparalleled views of Manali and Solang Valley

  • The trip culminates at Bhrigu Lake, the meditation point for Bhrigu Maharishi, which is said to change colors and shapes throughout the year, from frozen to royal blue to emerald green

  • Due to the elevation, you will experience breathtaking celestial displays, featuring the Milky Way and millions of stars!

  • Best time to visit Bhrigu Lake is between May – September

  • Day 1 - Pick-up from Rambag Circle, Manali (12:00 PM), drive to Gulaba by taxi and trek to Gulaba Meadows camp – 22 km drive / 3 km trek

  • Day 2 - Trek to Rola Kholi from Gulaba – 6 km (4/5 hrs)

  • Day 3 - Early trek start to Bhrigu Lake & back to Rola Kholi – 10 km (8 hrs)

  • Day 4 - Trek to Gulaba from Rola Kholi & then drive back to Manali – [6 km trek (3 hrs) / 22 km drive]

How to Reach

By Train
We don’t recommend to travel Manali by train as nearest stations are very far away

By Road
Buses from Delhi (540 km) & Chandigarh (310 km) are frequently available (see bus chart)
Suggestion: To take Govt. buses from ISBT as they are punctual and quicker to reach than Pvt. Buses and reach Manali latest by 11:00 AM. They will drop you at Manali which is walking distance to Rambagh Circle (meeting point)

By Air

Bhuntar airport is around 52 km from Manali. Daily schedule of flights from Delhi/ Chandigarh to Bhuntar. Taxi services are available from airport to Manali which costs around 700/- to 1000/-

  • Smoking cigarettes makes you lethargic & can potentially shortened your breath during the trek, we recommend not to smoke for your own good

  • Drinking alcohol is not allowed since it results in dehydration and can cause AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), it eventually reduces the oxygen level from the body

  • Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly prohibited

  • Instructions from guide should be paid attention to and followed

  • Cancellations made 10 days before the commencement of the trip, 100% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 5-9 days before the commencement of the trip, 50% of total cost will be refunded
  • Cancellations made 0-4 days before the commencement of the trip, a bit too late for any return
