Brief Overview

  • Located in Chamoli district in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, India; nearest town is Dewal, 36 km from Wan, Lohajung

  • Being located near the snow-clad peaks of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti and Chaukhamba, Bedni Bugyal offers some ravishing views reckoning unforgettable sunrises and sunsets

  • Pick-up from Rishikesh, drive to Mundoli via Karnaprayag and stay the night in tents – 240 km drive

  • Drive to Wan & then trek to Bedni Bugyal from Mundoli – 1 hr drive & 10 km trek (6/7 hrs)

  • Trek to splendid Ali Bugyal & return back to Bedni Bugyal – 10 km (6/7 hrs)

  • Trek back to Wan from Bedni Bugyal & then rest at campsite – 10 km (4/5 hrs)

  • After breakfast drive to Rishikesh from Wan – 240 km drive

How to Reach

By Train
No direct trains to Rishikesh from Delhi, it’s best to take the train till Haridwar or Doiwala then catch a shared taxi or bus
Haridwar railway station and bus stand is just opposite to each other and you’ll find regular buses from there to Rishikesh

By Road
Overnight bus to Rishikesh Bus Stand from ISBT, Kashmere Gate, Delhi (see bus chart)
Suggestion: To take Uttarakhand Govt. buses from Delhi ISBT as they are punctual and quicker to reach than Pvt. Buses. They will drop you at Rishikesh bus station

By Air

  • Smoking cigarettes makes you lethargic & can potentially shortened your breath during the trek, we recommend not to smoke for your own good

  • Drinking alcohol is not allowed since it results in dehydration and can cause AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), it eventually reduces the oxygen level from the body

  • Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly prohibited

  • Instructions from guide should be paid attention to and followed
